Courtney & Dave
Some Creative Reinvention!
What I loved about Courtney & Dave's wedding were the personal touches...Courtney wore her mother's vintage wedding gown, but redesigned the bodice and dropped the veil to put her own contemporary stamp on it. When I was shown an old wedding photo of Courtney's parents, I knew I had to recreate the original, traditional pose with Courtney and Dave later on in the day. During the couple's wedding ceremony which was held in Dave's parents' backyard, Courtney held her bouquet in front of her face to hide happy tears. Afterwards, I was able to replicate the old fashioned wedding photo of Courtney's parents with Courtney and Dave by taking them to a similar and very Australian bush backdrop. The same vintage colour tone of the original image was applied to the remake. The girls all had a big laugh at the Maid of Honour's droopy bouquet of pink Gerberas. Their reception was held in a huge warehouse Dave had transformed himself with black leather sofas, wine barrels and over four hundred candles! Guests were in awe as they entered what looked like an urban, industrial night club for hipsters!
