Melissa & Trevor
Melissa & Trevor were one of my last weddings of peak season 2013-2014, and what an exciting note to end on...
The couple got ready in separate cabins at Freycinet Lodge while I capture artistic details outdoors. In honour of her parents who passed away some years ago, Mel wore their wedding rings on a chain around her neck and was walked down an aisle through the bush by her only sister. Trevor was waiting for Mel on the beach, where the couple met in a long embrace. Then their ceremony was held at Honeymoon Bay on a breezy but beautiful late autumn day, surrounded by the rest of their loved ones, including Trevor's son and Mel's nephews. More embraces were held as congratulatory tears were shed. Then it was times for the wedding party to celebrate with glasses of bubbly on the rocks while portraits were taken of the bride and groom against a stunning backdrop featuring The Hazards overlooking turquoise water. We then ventured over to Richardson's Beach for some more photos as the sun dropped lower in the sky and headed down to the jetty as it set. A big surprise was waiting for Mel as she entered her reception. Trevor had secretly organised for her idol musician, Alex Lloyd, to play their first dance song, live and in person! He was "AMAZING" just like the title of his song...
