Bec & Josh

Where do I begin to tell the story of beautiful Bec & Josh? One of my favourite aspects of a wedding reception is being behind the lens during the speeches, which is often when I hear how couples meet. For Bec & Josh it wasn't love at first sight, but a slow burn beginning with hearing one another's voices on the phone at the company they both worked for...then bumping into each other at their cars on their way home. They started out as friends but romance eventually blossomed between them. Their "happily ever after" started at Glen Albyn Estate, where sea breezes blew throughout their wedding ceremony under bright, blue skies overlooking the choppy Derwent River. The gorgeous gentleman walking Bec down the aisle is her dear, proud grandfather. That wide grin on Josh's handsome face as they walk towards him says it all, really. Neither the flower girl who looked like a little fairy princess nor the cheeky ring bearing prince could take their eyes off the fairy-tale couple as they exchanged vows and rings, and then sealed their union with a kiss. Afterwards, we walked and wheeled our way down a leafy road for portraits of the bride and groom and their wonderful wedding party consisting of two very pretty bridesmaids and two very helpful groomsmen. I adore these close-ups of the adorable, happy couple, as well as some of the more distant compositions incorporating their shadows and silhouettes in the surrounding night scenes. Finally, an unforgettable first dance...xx
