Ashlee & Ed
I was so excited to photograph Ashlee & Ed's wedding having worked with Ashlee before as a bridesmaid, and also having met so many of Ashlee & Ed's fabulous friends and guests as members of previous wedding parties! This gang did not let me down and were as much fun to work with again as I'd anticipated! Ashlee and her beautiful bridesmaids got ready at Sullivan's Cove Apartments behind the IXL complex, one of my favourite locations to photograph. For me, one of the best parts of a wedding day involves using my creative eye to spot gorgeous backdrops for artistic detail shots. Participating in all the anticipation with both the gals and the guys excites me as well. This was the first time I'd photographed a ceremony at St. Joseph's Church with two aisles instead of one for the bride to walk down. My juxtaposition enabled me to better obtain a great shot of an emotional Ed as Ash got closer to him. Leafy St. David's Park worked well for family portraits and a return to the IXL atrium area produces some diverse portraits of the bride and groom and wedding party. They had fun riding the elevator, walking the suspension bridge, and roaming around the outside of this historic property while I snapped away. We then met up with their guests at The Hotel Grand Chancellor to party on and I got to catch up with some former brides, grooms, bridesmaids, and groomsmen...all have become friends I've come to adore! xx
